Private life, location, and cleaning were fine, but there was a lot of noise and we woke up when others were on the toilet or coming home from town.

I was surprised to find no elevator, but the receptionist on Saturday was kind enough to help lift my bag to the third‑floor room. The only downside was that the front desk shut down at 3 pm, leaving almost no staff available for questions or assistance.

We had the sweet Suite "Blankenese". Everything was spotless and beautifully set up. The freestanding bathtub is the highlight of this suite. It was super quiet, with no noise from the bustle of Schanzenviertel. Nothing else.

The room felt pretty cold; the heating was controlled by an external thermostat and seemed off despite the chill. They offered me a second blanket, but the lack of heating options felt weak, and I think guests should decide on the price themselves.
