“Make sure you contact the property about the booking details!”

The spot was convenient and the front desk team was friendly. The price was reasonable. I was let down by the fact that the budget double room listing didn’t say it was a basement room with no windows. The photos showed a window, but it was actually a hallway window in the basement, and our room didn’t even have that one. The front desk said it was mentioned in the booking, but I checked all confirmation emails and nothing was said. So check with the property first before booking to avoid surprises. Customer support didn’t help at all, and I think it’s serious that the listing isn’t transparent about the room being IN A BASEMENT.

The location is great, just a stone’s throw from the Galata Tower and the metro stop. The staff are very kind and attentive. The room is basic but good value and pretty clean. We had trouble finding it because it wasn’t labeled with its current name, and we had to walk around a few times to locate it. The room we got was in a basement with stairs that made it hard to bring heavy luggage or for anyone with mobility issues.

Nothing positive. Initially we were offered a basement room without a window, raising concerns about fire safety. When we pointed this out, we were told to look at the room photos, even though the general photos painted a different picture. Our refund request was denied and we were given a loft room without curtains, so a man could see in from the roof in the morning. Hygiene was poor; there was blood on the bedding and other guests’ hair. The hotel’s name also didn’t match.
