Holiday Inn Milwaukee Airport by IHG

As a chain hotel, it lived up to my expectations; the check‑in staff were super friendly, and the shared room was spacious with two comfy beds, plus we got complimentary parking. The poolside area was cramped, poorly maintained, and we were locked out of a fenced zone, having to bang on the door to get help.

“Subpar stay”

The main entrance and restaurant were spotless, and the pool area looked great, but during a busy Irish Fest weekend the kitchen had only one chef and one waitress, and a continental breakfast would have sufficed. In one of our two rooms, the bed was covered in urine that we only noticed halfway through the night, and the toilet leaked; the second room had a couch covered in food and someone’s shorts, no mattress for the couch, and the bathroom shower stocked only with conditioner, no shampoo—luckily we had some in a travel bottle.

“Second visit , our choice for Milwaukee stay, we’ll be back”

Friendly helpful staff. Great pool area, large swimming pool and large hot tub . Nice surround of pool high ceilings . Pool so crowded they ran out of pool towels. Drainage perimeter around pool not draining , saw 2 people slip from standing water from drain line not working. Luckily they were both young kids so it didn’t faze them, they had bendy bones. They weren’t running but extra water made flooring slippery. Definitely a potential hazard for adults though

“Not bad, wish it was closer to downtown”

The place was clean, but it felt dated.

“Only the staff and pool/hot tub entice me back. The rooms need to be completely overhauled; get rid of the filthy ca”

The staff were exceptional—kind, pleasant, and always helpful. The pool and hot tub were perfect, with temperatures just right and an inviting atmosphere. Those were the highlights of my stay. The rooms, however, were filthy; the carpet was in need of removal, constant humidity persisted, and de‑humidifiers were desperately required. The rooms needed a full overhaul, more dresser space, and new mattresses—old and lumpy, they made my feet black from walking on the carpet. Friends and relatives who stayed here shared the same complaints.
