Breakfast was pretty good and the server in the breakfast room was very helpful; the train station is easily reachable and the surrounding mountain slopes are pretty. However, there was no fridge, no kettle, and no worthwhile facilities; the town offered no decent dinner options and felt like a dead end, making it highly overpriced.

The hotel sits in a great spot for my needs, just a short walk from St Niklaus train station and close to shops and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything I required. I might have liked a staffed reception, but the self‑check‑in worked fine, and when I needed help with a bag, the sister hotel stepped in and held it for me. The breakfast was also very good. The modern building lacks the charming feel of typical Swiss accommodations, but otherwise the hotel was excellent.
