The location is convenient if you plan to visit most of the well‑known beaches or spots in Mauritius (assuming you have a rental car like I do), because it sits in the island’s heart and every recommended place is about 40 km in one direction or another. The terrible noise from two unusually loud dogs across the street barking at midnight every now and then – if you’re sensitive to sound you’ll have a headache – they bark for no reason for a few minutes, pause, then bark again. THIS IS NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OWNERS OF COZY HOUSE, because those are not their dogs, just for your information.

The property itself is fine, but be prepared to hit your head on the door post right at the entrance. There is no ceiling fan, and the AC costs an extra 350 MUR. They also charge 3 Euro per night regardless of how many nights you stay, which should be included in the total; otherwise they overcharge in MUR.

The family is very nice, helpful, and friendly. They assisted me a lot and answered any questions I had. The studio is about 20 minutes from the metro station that goes to Port Louis. Rose Hill also has a bus terminal, reachable by a 40‑minute walk. There are also city buses you can use. The studio is ideal for exploring the city. It could be slightly better equipped, but otherwise there’s nothing to criticize.
