A quiet spot that’s well‑located with a very warm welcome. The only window‑door opening in the room means that when it’s hot and you open it, the privacy disappears and anyone can walk in while you’re sleeping. The whole property is starting to look a bit dated.

“Compleet vervallen terrein”

The surrounding forested area was pretty nice. We couldn’t find any signs at the entrance and had to search for a while. Inside, the cottages were empty and dilapidated, and a large community building stood abandoned. It looked so deserted that we started to wonder if anyone would ever come. We decided to leave and go to another hotel. In the evening, the manager called and we tried to explain that we didn’t feel comfortable among those rundown buildings, but she didn’t understand and was very unpleasant on the phone. The next day we returned and found her there. She claimed the park was 200 m away, but there was no indication of another entrance or different grounds. She was again very disagreeable and walked away. We had paid in advance, took a few photos of the buildings, and never actually saw the accommodation; the grounds were a huge mess.

“La chambre avec bonne literie mais le strict minimum. L'environnement un peu lugubre”

A quiet place surrounded by woods, isolated in the countryside. The access is poorly marked, and the road is barely passable. The setting among other abandoned buildings isn’t very reassuring.
