The staff were very friendly and helpful, always available. The location in the heart of the old town, surrounded by craftsmen and factories, gives a unique atmosphere compared to the more upscale hotels in the “better” districts. That’s the experience you get in Istanbul, both day and night. The streets are lively, busy, noisy, yet safe. It’s just a short uphill walk to the T1 tram station or the city’s major sights. The neighborhood offers a good selection of restaurants across all categories, so you don’t have to travel far after a long day. The apartments are very basic and a bit worn, especially the bathroom. Don’t expect too much, especially if you want to cook yourself. The cleanliness of the apartment is acceptable but could be improved. We found fresh‑washed underwear from previous tenants in the sofa cushions and laughed heartily.

The price was reasonable for what was offered. The sofa bed didn’t live up to our expectations, and the mattress on the double bed was too firm for me. I had a backpack the next morning.

The apartment was spacious, very well equipped, and close to Istanbul’s top tourist spots. The breakfast was good, and the staff were very pleasant, even with the cat at reception.

The spot is great for catching the tram, seeing sights, and grabbing food, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Despite a lot of run‑down alleys, we felt safe here. The photos on the site mix two or three rooms, but I stayed in room 3, which was a bit worn out – you can see the tiredness in various pieces of furniture, and the curtains hadn’t been washed in ages. The pictures show a window with a balcony in the bedroom, yet the balcony is actually blocked by a wall, giving the impression of a dark, windowless den; that detail should be in the description. The neighborhood can be a little intimidating because it’s not well maintained, with many small shops producing worldwide “originals.”
