The staff were very friendly, the room was large and very clean, and the location and view were excellent, but there could be a bit more variety at breakfast.

Everything was very tidy, which is not a given for an older building. The staff were pleasant, the room was spacious and offered a beautiful view of the garden and surrounding landscape. It would have been lovely if the weather had allowed an outdoor breakfast, but the terrace breakfast must have been heavenly. Because this is an older building, the acoustic insulation is quite lacking; the noise from the restaurant is very noticeable. Thankfully it closes quite early, so you can still sleep peacefully. Personally I didn't mind it, as I'm not very tall, but the shower is really small. I can imagine people with more body size might have trouble.
