The host was very friendly and helpful. The house was a beautiful traditional Japanese house, and parts of it had been nicely renovated, making my family and me feel at home. Some areas show their age, but that’s not a deal‑breaker.

The private space with a barrel sauna, a cold bath where we could set the temperature, and the fact that we could use it until 23:00 was absolutely perfect ⭐︎ The caretaker was friendly and entertaining, making the stay even more enjoyable. They even provided toys for our child and offered us futons, which was a huge kindness. I’ll definitely come back.

The place is quiet, but the low door thresholds are a bit inconvenient.

I really liked staying at Mori. The guest house is large and offers plenty of facilities, such as a laundry area, a full kitchen, and several rooms, so it can comfortably accommodate multiple people even though I was traveling alone. The bath area is especially nice with a very deep tub, and the sauna is excellent. The daily rate is justified and the place is well maintained. The patio is spacious, giving you plenty of room to relax between sauna sessions. Although there are neighboring houses, the host has installed a cover and tall fences to ensure privacy. The interior is beautiful, and the air conditioning is strong enough to keep you cool in summer, just like I did. The futons provided were very comfortable. The location is great; I had no trouble walking there from the station with my luggage. It’s right next to a grocery store and a short walk from many bakeries, izakaya, shops, and more. I also walked to a few notable attractions such as the Southernmost point of Honshu and the Hashiguiiwa rocks. I had no complaints.
