The place sits in a great spot and the staff were friendly, and the bedroom was fine. The bathroom felt old‑fashioned; the mirror was dirty and lacked a demister, the shower had almost no water pressure, and the bath was slick—no mat was provided until you got to reception, which was too late for a shower. There were no handrails on the wall or bath, which was disappointing.

The room was tiny, with a small double bed and an even smaller bath that didn’t allow you to lie down. The toiletries were as advertised but only a little fluid from a nearly empty container on the wall. On the bright side, the staff were very helpful, the place was lively and served good ales, everything was very clean, and the towels and bed linen were good.

The location was good. We booked for proximity to the airport and there was a drop‑off key‑card facility, which was great, but we didn’t know about it during our overnight stay; a sign would have helped. It might be mentioned in the literature, but we missed it.

The location worked well for us, the bed was comfy, and the room had a fan, iron, ironing board, and hairdryer. It was quiet, the breakfast was great with plenty of options, and the TV was high quality. The room itself was very small, and there was a big cobweb hanging from the ceiling. When I showered, there was no shower mat and the bath was the slippiest surface I’ve ever seen. A sign in the bath asked you to request a mat, but by the time you notice it you’re already in the shower, so it’s not a good time to ask. It’s an accident waiting to happen and a bath mat should be standard. The shower water pressure was minimal, making it hard to shower properly, and there was no shower gel in the dispenser. We asked for it the next morning and got a mat but no gel. The room had a kettle with 4 coffee bags, 4 tea bags, and 4 UHT milks.
