“A peaceful, wonderful country getaway with plenty of space!”

The location is close to Hobbiton, making you feel like a Shire resident; at night the sky is stunning and there are many cute farm animals nearby. When driving, set your GPS correctly and watch for turn-offs. The hosts were very friendly; we stayed two nights and enjoyed the peaceful country life. TV and Wi‑Fi were excellent, and guests could cook with the oven, microwave, or induction cooktop. Because it is far from the nearest town, driving is recommended. Breakfast ingredients were already stocked in the kitchen and fridge. No negatives.

“Great little location”

Great stay, the owners are very friendly and the location is excellent. The beds were extremely comfortable—would book again if we return to the area.

“Comfort in the country”

Very comfortable, roomy accommodation, wonderful location. Easy drive to Cambridge, Matamata & Tirau. We were heading to a wedding at the Red Barn, only a 15‑minute drive, and Hobbiton is also very close. The area is quiet and peaceful, tucked in the hills. The hosts are a lovely couple; we met Shona on arrival and didn’t see them again until we left, but we had a nice chat before departure. The shower was fantastic with great water pressure. The heat pump in the lounge warms the whole apartment. The bed we slept in was so comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and a continental breakfast was provided. I would highly recommend staying here.

“Preciosa casa en medio del campo junto a Hobbiton Movie Ser, perfecta para familias”

Impressive house with all the comforts, a large living room overlooking the green hills that look like Hobbiton, and only 13 minutes from the real Hobbiton Movie Set. They treated us very well.
