The Budget Inn Hollywood is located on Sunset Boulevard in the heart of Hollywood. This motel features free WiFi, simply furnished rooms with air conditioning, cable TV, and free toiletries. TCL Chinese Theatre and Dolby Theatre are within a 10-minute walk. Downtown LA is a 15-minute drive from this centrally located hotel.

The staff were rude, the building was dirty and smelled bad. I paid for parking, but the rooms were very small, ugly, and full of insects. The photos on the website were very misleading. I don’t recommend it to anyone. For the same price you can find something much better in the neighbourhood.

The location and price were good, and the staff gave us decent service. The place had no security, and at night we heard a commotion that sounded like someone was banging on the hallway doors. The bathroom had no soap or shampoo, which I think is essential, but that was a minor issue. At the beginning we weren’t given the TV remote, and when we left they were asking for it even though we never received it. I’m waiting to see if they return my deposit.

I really didn’t like anything. First, check‑in requires you to go to another hotel. The place is filthy; the entrance smells like urine, people are using controlled substances—unfit for children—there are shouting and door‑banging all night, so you can’t rest. The floor is dirty, the mattresses are stained, the sheets look like curtains, and I doubt they wash the bed covers; the bathroom is tiny, the toilet is wedged between two walls, the shower floods and the water doesn’t drain while you’re bathing. Trash piles up in the hallway. It’s a horror and a disgust to be there. Checkout is at 11 am, but we left at 7 am because it was so uncomfortable.
