“Beautiful location, but unclear pricing and poor communication”
The yurt itself was cozy and the surrounding scenery was stunning, and the small wood‑burning stove kept it warm at night, which mattered in the cold. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing: communication was almost impossible because almost no English was spoken, and we received little guidance on arrival. The kitchen facilities advertised were not actually available—there was only a table with a few basic items, no proper kitchen or cooking facilities as described. The biggest problem was the lack of transparency around prices. The horse‑riding cost changed several times: first we were told 700 soms per person and horse per hour, then 1000 soms, then 800 soms, and finally 1000 soms again. In front of us, a staff member asked another person how much he charged to be our guide; he said 2000 soms, but we were then told the guide would cost 3000 soms. After we questioned this, the prices changed again and different amounts were discussed between the staff. We also found a difference between the meal price shown on Booking and the price we were given on arrival. This whole situation was very uncomfortable and made us feel that the pricing was not transparent. There was also a lot of noise around the camp until about midnight or 1 am, with people playing with the horses and having a barbecue, which made it hard to sleep.
