Exactly what we were looking for for our anniversary: a rural location that’s still convenient for sightseeing, the night was quiet, and the room felt almost original. The restaurant’s food wasn’t great, but it was fine and the cost was reasonable. The staff surprised us with a slab of marble bearing “Happy Anniversary” on top of desserts and two roses—unexpected and much appreciated. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to spend a few days away from the chaos in complete solitude.

The single‑room on the first floor of a farm is cute and well kept; the surrounding countryside is lovely for pleasant walks. The heat was an issue: with only one window fitted with a non‑removable mosquito net and the room on a flat roof, it felt like an oven. The only way to let in cool air was to keep the entrance door open all night and remove the pins from the mosquito net; the fan was not very effective. The area is very quiet, but the door stayed open all night.
