“Love it will be back”
A charming boutique hotel in a perfect spot. The staff and the size of the room were a drawback.

Located in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood, The Broome is a 14-room boutique hotel constructed in 1825 in Federal Revivalist style. This historic hotel features a Moroccan-tiled courtyard, flat-screen cable TVs, luxury bedding, and en-suite bathrooms with complimentary toiletries. Enjoy a 24-hour front desk, continental breakfast, and proximity to Prince Street station, Union Square, and Times Square.

The staff were great and the location was superb, and the AC worked well. However, the photos mislead you: the building isn’t on the corner as shown; the picture is of a different building across the street. The actual hotel is smaller and sits one block in from the corner. Rooms face either Broome or the courtyard. Courtyard‑view rooms have a walkway in front, so you can see people passing by and you must keep the curtain drawn on the only window. A restaurant has just opened in the courtyard, but it seems to quiet down around 10 pm. Breakfast was very light, with no eggs or hot dishes, though espresso was available.

The location was good and the service was decent! The entrance required climbing stairs and no one helped with luggage, but fortunately the front‑desk lady assisted us. At night there’s no one at reception, so you have to enter the building with your own key. There are only a few rooms, the beds are small, and it doesn’t justify the price.

The spot is great, but there’s no fridge, no ice, and no windows you can open.

The room, the location, and the staff’s friendliness were all good, yet the breakfast was poor and they never had espresso.
