Candlewood Suites Vestal - Binghamton by IHG

The staff was excellent.

I had the best sleep ever in a motel room— the bed was super comfortable! The only downside was the traffic noise, but overall it was very good.

“Not good.”

Service was terrible: we only got a room with no AC, the staff treated us like we were a nuisance for not traveling for work, we were told there was no breakfast, soda cost $7 each, the desk clerk was rude, no military discount was offered, and we were never informed about Wi‑Fi or other amenities. I will never stay at this hotel again; I’ll go back to Hilton next time even though they didn’t have a single room available and we hated taking one that was too big.

“We would recommend the hotel to others.”

The price, room location, staff, and all the amenities were perfect, but a couple of times the restroom’s ventilation let a wasp through; the staff sprayed us to prevent it and used a Zevo plug. This issue should be addressed in room 421 before it becomes a major problem.

“Nice staff, nice location, coffee!!!”

The staff were friendly and nice, and the room was quite big and comfortable. However, the hotel seemed to know we were staying for 6 days, yet we found almost empty bottles of shampoo, hand soap, body wash, and only one roll of toilet paper; we had to keep asking for items, which was uncomfortable, especially since we left at night and returned at dawn for the Niagara Falls tours.
