Griffiths Guest House

“Served it’s purpose 1 night was enough certainly wouldn’t stay again”

The place met our basic needs. However, the advertised facilities were missing: we only received one bath and one hand towel for two people, the TV had no channel connection, and the rooms were very dated, dark, and dreary. The host was unhelpful.

Finding the property was tough, but parking was plentiful. The bathroom wasn’t attached to the room, there was no toilet paper or towels, though we found towels in the living room and took them. The host wasn’t really prepared for our arrival. The room was decent for the price and had A/C. It was 10 minutes from Appleton Estate, so the location was convenient, but otherwise there were no other positives.

It was very private, peaceful, and quiet—I liked it.

“Nicht übernachtet”

We didn’t stay. After some effort we found the accommodation and were told it was fully booked with no rooms left. Contrary to the listing, there was no internet available. The landlord was neither upset nor concerned and showed little interest in a solution. I booked a room at a far‑away St. Cruz using other guests’ internet, but that place was also hard to locate.

“The experience was really a pleasant one. The Hosts were really hospitable.”

The rooms are really nice, a lovely country home. All rooms are fully air‑conditioned with cable TV, and one room even has a mini‑fridge tucked nicely at the back of the property. Seeing the solar panels is a bonus. The TV was awkwardly positioned on the wall, the windows need mesh to keep out mosquitoes and other insects, and there could be outdoor seating since the garden is beautiful. It would be great to enjoy it.
