Boegas View Guesthouse

The staff were incredibly helpful; on arrival they took me on a tour of the island, gave me plenty of tips, and set up several excursions for me. I definitely recommend the Guest House.

“Great value, friendly, helpful guesthouse on an equally friendly island”

I adored my 6‑night stay at Boegas View, feeling it offered far more than I anticipated and at a great price. Arriving by the RTL ferry—an excellent way to get around—I was greeted by the owners at the harbor, who showed me the island and stayed reachable for anything I needed. I split my days between lounging in the garden and exploring the surrounding coves, beaches, and lagoon; the south side is best for beaches, while the west lagoon boasts vibrant coral gardens. The guesthouse’s snorkeling trip is a must‑do: a one‑hour swim off the east reef revealed turtles, eagle rays, sharks, and massive coral formations. Dinner at the guesthouse was always generous and delicious; I usually ate there, though I’d also grab breakfast from nearby shops or opt for a cooked option. I also took cheap RTL day trips to Neykurendhoo, which is beautiful and offers great snorkeling, and could have visited Makunudhoo but didn’t. I’d gladly return to this friendly, clean, and homely place, and someday hope a dive center opens on the island. The only downside was the lack of a dive center, but otherwise everything was perfect.
