“Uskomattoman hieno kokemus”

The place was unbelievably nice! We intentionally wanted to be in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by nature, and this place delivered! Staying in a luxury tent among rice fields was an amazing experience. At night, we could hear the symphony of small animals, which was fantastic! The service and staff were first‑class! We were welcomed with drinks, bags were carried into the room, and while enjoying the pool area happy hour and dinner, the staff came by to do the turn‑down service in our room—this was a highlight of our trip. All the food served at the hotel was local! Near the hotel was a small shop where we could get water, although the room had large water bottles that were refilled daily. The shower had good pressure and hot water! A driver arranged a good day trip for us. The hotel itself had no problems; we arrived from Gilin Island to Padang Pai harbor, where there were aggressively aggressive scammers selling transport. It’s worth checking the major prices in advance. Fortunately we had checked Grab’s price (07/26 about 150k) beforehand. We felt strong accusations about taxes, internet apps, and respecting locals. All of this happened on the beach, unrelated to Kaura Manggis.

“Private eco-paradise.”

We were the only guests at Kaura and felt like royalty; the family tent was roomy and the AC worked great. Hot showers and spotless bathrooms were a relief, and the surrounding farming and vegetable gardens were lovely – the kids were thrilled by the lizards, frogs, and birds. Nighttime wildlife can be loud, but the staff supplied ear plugs. Dinner and breakfast were outstanding, almost like having private chefs since we were alone. The infinity pool was another highlight. Transport to the port the following day was arranged easily through the property. We absolutely loved it. No complaints.

What a gem of a place. The spot is stunning, the accommodation clean, comfy, and offers the most amazing views. It’s peaceful and has a beautiful pool overlooking the rice paddies. Best of all, it’s a community‑run venture and you’re staying on a working organic farm. I recommend the walks with local guides and the cooking class – both were fantastic and a great way to learn about the local culture and area. I can’t wait to return.
