“Cambio de modalidad de negocio!”
Room 6 was fine, and the facilities overall seemed adequate; the bathrooms were especially great, and the housekeeping staff were friendly and attentive from day one, even helping us when we had an access issue. The room faced an inner courtyard that lines up with the food outlets, so there was a strong smell of cooking and frying at certain times. Another thing that could be better is the wrist‑band access system: entry to the property and the room relies on that band, so if you lose it you’re completely locked out. In our case it got lost, and from about 06:30 am we tried calling and texting on phone and WhatsApp to get back into our room and grab our stuff. We made dozens of calls and sent several messages, getting no reply for roughly six hours. It was very stressful because we couldn’t get into our own room and had a trip to keep going. With no response we ended up sleeping in the room of some guys we’d met at a concert, who were also staying here and kindly helped us. We finally got assistance at about 12:30. On Sunday there was no front desk staff, so we had to find the housekeeping person, who did attend to us and helped very kindly. We understand losing the band was our mistake, but a system like this should have an emergency protocol, an alternate access method, or a 24‑hour contact number, especially when a guest can’t get into a paid room. To this day we still don’t know how the property will resolve this issue or what answer they’ll give us.
