The location was fine, but the reception was abruptly rude, and when we entered our room the sheets looked like they’d been slept on for at least two weeks instead of being freshly made. The hotel was a disaster—no charm, peeling paint, drawers falling out of the chest, and overall a mess that would never earn a one‑star rating for a hostel, let alone a hotel. The manager was terrible; he came to our room, saw the dirty sheet, told us we couldn’t stay, and then left. Very poor management overall.

It’s convenient for the ferry, but it’s not worth the price. The old furniture is mismatched and in disrepair, the bar under the room plays loud music, and the city view is just an alley. The continental breakfast consisted of a packaged honey bun and fruit, there’s no blow‑dryer, no seating—only the bed. You think you’re booking a charming historic piece, but you’re really just getting an old building. Someone could turn this into a gem, but right now it’s just a pretended hotel.

The view was great, the furniture had a nice period feel, and the bathroom was very modern and nice, but the room felt a bit cramped with two full beds.
