The property sits in a serene valley just west of Kyoto. It’s quiet and peaceful, with great amenities. The host, Christian, goes above and beyond to keep you comfortable and entertained. With options like a glass‑blowing experience, a private traditional concert, delicious breakfast, planned excursions, and many others, this is the only place I know for sure I’ll return to in Japan. Thank you so much, Christian and family! Your hospitality made our trip / belated honeymoon better than anyone else could have.

Fantastic stay in a real Japanese house! The owner is very kind and always available. Authentic, highly recommended along with the Japanese experiences offered. The location is hard to reach by public transport, but the owner’s incredible availability from the moment of booking solves everything.

A proper Italian‑style welcome! The multilingual host is happy to greet you in his city near Kyoto and will advise you on nearby outings. Always available to drive us to and from the station daily whenever we wanted to go to the city. The house is pleasant and quiet with all the charm we were looking for in Japan. We highly recommend it!

“Perfect verblijf! Mooi Japans huis, geweldige service!”

It’s a beautiful large house with all the facilities. Very nicely Japanese‑styled. The owner speaks good English, made a wonderful breakfast for us, booked excellent and fun restaurants, took us to and from those restaurants and the station, gave tips for local activities, and told us a lot about Japan and its culture. A perfect stay with perfect service. The house is close to Kyoto yet quiet. We did the 7‑temple walk and didn’t encounter anyone, even though the temples don’t compare to those in Kyoto. Arashiyama is only 15 minutes by train.
