The hostel is the best 💕—cool people and a great location. The single room was a bit noisy.

One More Wave Surf House Uluwatu, perched on Uluwatu’s cliffside, offers a sun‑lit terrace, lush garden, and a year‑round outdoor pool with fire pit. Private rooms feature balconies overlooking the pool, air‑conditioning, and free parking. The on‑site restaurant serves Indonesian and American dishes, while nightly live music and film nights create a vibrant atmosphere. Padang Padang Beach lies an eight‑minute walk away, and Ngurah Rai International Airport is 17 km distant.

The hostel was pretty nice. My room was very spacious, with a curtain over the bed that helped keep mosquitoes out. The place was very quiet, the staff attentive and friendly, and the restaurant staff were also very pleasant. The food was exquisite, a little above budget but expected for Uluwatu. The hostel sits on a hill, so walking to the beach can be a bit tiring, but it’s nothing terrible; in 10 or 15 minutes you’re at Padang Padang, great for swimming, and they charge $10k for beach entry. I moved around with Grab everywhere. They offer surf classes for $750k. I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, the electricity in my room failed and it took about 4 hours to fix. The bathroom outlet stopped working, but the sockets did. The noise from adjacent rooms was quite loud.

There’s a nice community here, so it can be a fun place if you’re looking to make friends, learn how to surf, and don’t mind the amenities. I left after just one day because the private room wasn’t comfortable for a longer stay. The windows couldn’t be opened, so there was no daylight, and the interior lighting wasn’t enough to get ready comfortably. Hot water ran out quickly in the shower. The walls were very thin, so you could hear everything in the next room—I even had to step outside to take calls because I felt everyone could hear me. The surrounding area is also quite run down. Overall, I’d recommend this place more for the social and surfing experience than for comfort, privacy, and a relaxing stay.

The community! People keep coming back because of the community and collective activities. I stayed in a dorm, and everything was fine overall, no problems. I only used it for sleeping and bathing; otherwise, people spent their time in the restaurant area, jamming music, chatting, or going places together. They have a WhatsApp group where the staff announce daily activities like sunset watching, quiz night, dining at a warung, etc. People were great, sincere, and welcoming; I met many. Overall, the vibe is unique and I would recommend it to anyone. I skipped the surfing lessons because they seemed a bit expensive compared to even Uluwatu prices, which are generally higher, and the laundry was piece‑based rather than by kg, which seemed weird to me.
