The atmosphere was calm and comfortable, and I appreciated having an open-toaster and coffee in the room. However, locking the room key required a bit of skill, and it would be helpful to have a microwave in the shared areas.

The facilities seemed new, but paying 20,000 yen for a room for three people in a bare‑bones stay felt excessive; the room was cramped, the bunk bed was poor, shared areas were littered with garbage, and carrying luggage up to the second‑floor rooms via stairs was difficult.

Because it was newly built, the space was well designed; I booked a room with an indoor bathroom, which was clean and comfortable. People coming from Setouchi likely head to Kagami‑Rōma, but staying a few days makes this a good base. The only downside is that you can’t park cars in front of the hotel (the village is inside), and the parking lot is narrow.
