“Séjour à oublier.”

The place was quiet. The room hadn’t been cleaned between guests: the trash wasn’t emptied, the bathrooms were dirty, and the floor wasn’t swept. The manager gave me the Wi‑Fi code but I didn’t see her again for payment; someone else handled it coldly. If she’d been there, I could have addressed the issues directly. Viligili is a nice island, but everything is under construction; it’ll be fine in 2–3 years. There’s little activity and not much life, though the locals are friendly and open.

The inn was lovely and close to Viligili’s best beach, Love Point. The staff were very friendly and tried to meet all my requests. It’s great to know you can stay on the island outside the big resorts.

“Non-touristic island with a only a few hotels. Ideal if you want to get away from the crowds.”

The hotel room was spacious, clean, and the air‑con worked silently. Breakfast in English included eggs, sausages, toast, jam, porridge, tea, and coffee. I really enjoyed dinner—rice and curry—thanks to the fantastic chef. The only downside was the lack of a pool, but the beach is just a 10‑minute walk away. Viligili isn’t ready for tourists yet; the staff mentioned future plans for a water park and shops for snorkeling or diving. Right now it’s super quiet, and you almost have the whole beach to yourself. Love Point has trees, palms, and picnic spots, while Viligili beach five minutes down the road has a bar and restaurant that’s closed during the day because of Ramadan.

“pas à refaire”

The bathroom kept leaking all the time, and the staff weren’t very attentive. There was almost nothing to eat, or very little. The prices were steep even for basic items like rice or pasta, and the instant coffee and toast were the lowest quality.

“Bel établissement aux services perfectibles”

The room was huge, well‑equipped, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was decent and served on site. The area was quiet, with a nicely maintained garden that was pleasant. Communication was a hassle; we stayed four days without a direct contact. The transfer could have been better organized, as we had to walk to the hotel with all our luggage because no one answered our calls. Providing bicycles for island travel would help. Overall, a good experience with a few things to improve.
