Breakfasts were good and sufficient, but dinners were just fried food and very overpriced. The accommodation equipment is older but still decent. It’s set in nice nature within driving distance of Dresden and the Saxon Switzerland.

Self‑check‑in via a tablet that even offered Czech language. There’s a self‑serve snack option in the restaurant, activated by the key chip. The room furnishings are older but fully functional and visibly clean. The balcony overlooks a stream that flows into the trees. Two sockets in the room (one at the desk and one by the entrance) meant I couldn’t charge my phone next to the bed. Breakfast for one night was adequate, but you can feel the attempt to cut costs: basic selection, watered‑down juices, minimal vegetables, etc.

Breakfast was very good. Communication could only happen through Google Translate if we spotted someone. The rooms had maintenance issues, and it was hard to get clean towels. Check‑in was only possible via computer, and check‑out failed because the computer couldn’t locate the booking. I’m 78 and was given a third‑floor room without an elevator.

The guesthouse sits amid nature, surrounded by a wide meadow and a babbling brook, making it a great launchpad for outings. Breakfast was decent, dinner was good (orderable via the terminal). Check‑in and check‑out went smoothly. A large, bright winter garden lets you stay out even after dinner. Rooms have balconies and plenty of space. The area is quiet and the rooms offer excellent value for money. Unfortunately, the bathroom was still dirty when we arrived, with hair on the heater and the toilet. The bathroom is a bit old‑fashioned, tiles are coming loose, and the shower only produced a weak spray. The staff hardly speak German and are not very attentive; communication in English and gestures worked only partially. The double bed was very hard. Breakfast items were rarely refilled, so late‑morning diners were unlucky. Dinner was rather pricey but tasty.
