The accommodation was well‑situated with a typical interior. Meals were included in addition to breakfast. The staff didn’t expect us; they were surprised and had to call someone to confirm our reservation, and the next day I had to go see them to pay because they had no change, so we had to figure out how to make up the difference.

The low, bright kitchen was handy and I could have my laundry done there, but the staff were unfriendly, the room was very echo‑ey, and I could hear the owner’s conversations next door at night.

We were given a very large, clean, and comfy room in an amazing travel house, and the food was good. The family seemed a bit distant; when we arrived they didn’t greet us, so we didn’t feel very welcome, which was odd since we had booked and were excited for this adventurous stay.

We absolutely loved this place. The location is superb, right near Cotopaxi National Park. The rooms are spacious and tidy, the food is lovely, and the hosts are very helpful and friendly!

The food was good, yet there was never any permanent staff on hand.
