Staying in a renovated 11th‑century castle was excellent; the rooms were cozy, spacious, and spotless, breakfast superb, and the staff kind and helpful.

We spent a wonderful night at the Locanda Mescoglia; the owners’ care and love are immediately felt, the room was gorgeous, tastefully furnished with family heirlooms—a detail I found especially fascinating—cleanliness perfect, bed extremely comfortable. The village is delightful, parking is convenient just a few steps from the rooms, and the hill view alone makes the trip worthwhile. We also greatly appreciated the special welcome for our dog: a bowl at breakfast and a treat. These small touches truly make a difference. We will definitely return and highly recommend!

It was beautiful, though a bit hard to locate and the roads were very narrow, which is understandable given the accommodation’s setting in an ancient building in a very old village.
