“Da rifare assolutamente.”
It felt like a slice of paradise: an outdoor garden with two lounge chairs, a patio with a wooden table, bricks, exposed beams, and all the warm touches that made us feel instantly comfortable. The owner, Irma, was very kind and willing to meet my requests (a richer breakfast, extra towels, detergent…). Her husband, Vincenzo, was very affable, as were his parents, so we felt right at home. Two lovely cats were also friendly, and we dined at a nearby restaurant most evenings – it was a great week. We stayed for 7 days, so we noticed some issues that a single‑night visitor might miss; these are areas for improvement, not things we disliked outright. I found the mattress very uncomfortable, sagging in the middle. Despite the new and nice room, the mattress was a definite negative. The breakfast was a bit thin – just coffee, toast, and one type of biscuit. I mentioned this to Irma, who immediately bought us butter and gave us two excellent jams, which was more than enough for us. Since there’s a small fridge in the common area, I suggest leaving some yogurt and fruit. These are things we only noticed because we stayed a long time.
