The spot is spot‑on – right in the middle of the forest with an unbeatable view, and the host was super friendly, making us feel right at home. We loved the stay overall, but when we got there we spotted a few spider webs, which was a bit off‑putting. A tiny single‑burner stove would have been handy for quick breakfasts or snacks.

The view is absolutely breathtaking and the bed was roomy and comfortable, with the TV working without a hitch. However, if you’re not a fan of bugs, this place is tough – insects swarm in from the forest and even get inside, so we had to keep the lights off at night. The bathroom also needs work: the shower door doubles as a barrier, letting water spill onto the floor, and the walls have tiny holes that look like missing grout.

We had a fantastic time, especially thanks to the room that looked out over the sea and Clarice, who greeted us warmly and shared great tips about the island. Everything else was smooth and enjoyable.
