“Nie wieder in dieses Hotel”

The hotel’s location is very central, just a few steps from the city centre, and the rooms are all very spacious. We were an eight‑person Austrian cycling group staying there. For dinner we booked a table at the hotel restaurant, yet the young waiter was unfriendly and visibly annoyed from the start, as if he didn’t want to serve us, even though no conflict arose. He was friendly to the Czech guests present. Cleaning staff began pushing us out at 22:15, even though the restaurant was supposed to stay open until 23:00. I have never experienced such a dismissive and rude attitude! Also, all our rooms were on the second floor, and the stairs are steep and difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

We stayed in a clean, pleasant place. We worried it might get hot at night because the apartment had no air‑conditioning (35 °C during the day), but sleeping with the windows open was very comfortable. We liked the authenticity of Besídka, especially the original stone stairs and the parking behind the gate. We’ll definitely come back.

The staff—apparently the bar manager—was friendly and very professional, attending to us right away even though the restaurant was completely full. I felt like the bears that wander after Slavonicí, at least because of the ridiculously annoying key‑chain roller that came with the room key.

“Eine Reise in eine andere Zeit und doch mit heute verbunden.”

The room was wonderful with a retro vibe and very quiet. Its proximity to the restaurant was also very convenient. The staff were very accommodating.
