The staff were very friendly, the food at the on‑site restaurant was excellent, and the service stayed cheerful until late at night. The room was a bit older but that didn’t bother me; it was functional and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was the loud freight trains that kept me from sleeping in the guest house.

Nothing positive at all. The staircase leading to the rooms is dangerous, especially for older guests, and the hotel itself feels stale and uninviting with everything in brown and the staff not very friendly. Smoking is allowed on the terrace, but if you don’t drink you’re not welcome; I’d rather smoke elsewhere. The room was also too hot, and there was no air conditioning.

The staff were wonderful, and the kitchen chef stayed on duty until about 1 a.m. after the great Roland‑Kaiser concert on the Loreley, with drinks available until 2 a.m., creating a very convivial atmosphere. The guest house rooms were completely fine. The only improvement would be a kettle for quick coffee or tea.

The location is good, the price is cheap, and parking is free. The rooms are very old and would benefit from renovation, but everything else is clean.
