The location is at the start of a somewhat busy street where parking can be tricky at arrival time. A lift takes you to the top floor, and the very friendly hosts welcomed us. Breakfast is at U café, a few minutes’ walk from the apartment. Restaurant tip: Ristorante Centro Storico. The shower was a bit cramped for someone used to a larger one, but everything looked clean and well kept.

I almost missed my flight to Caltanisetta, so I could only let the owner, Graziano, know about my late arrival at 21:00; he was incredibly kind and immediately agreed to let me check in after the usual 20:00 deadline, even though it was past 23:00. He handled the situation with a level of flexibility that few would manage. The B&B is a recently renovated apartment on the 6th floor, with rooms that are very beautiful, clean, and welcoming. Breakfast is served in a lovely bar just 20 metres away from the property.
