The location was close to the event I wanted to attend—just a 15‑minute walk. The room, however, was smelly, the AC remote only allowed me to raise the temperature but not lower it, the shower lacked a glass partition so the bathroom floor stayed wet, the water heater was broken, and the AC leaked water onto the bedroom floor.

The photos on the booking site were outdated and the facilities didn’t match. The hotel looked neglected and depressing. Rooms were tiny and lacked basic items like soap or a hair dryer. The toilet flush was broken and leaked, the shower was dirty with low water pressure, and the air‑con, even on max, didn’t cool the room. Staff didn’t speak English. There was only one key card per room, no matter how many guests, and the staff couldn’t provide extras. The worst part was the cleanliness: the bedsheets were so old that the white had turned grey and were covered in spots, and the towels were similarly soiled. It took the staff a while to replace the sheets because they had to find better ones.

The bed was clean and fairly comfortable (just barely decent). The location was fine. The pictures were misleading; the place looked new but was actually very old. Floor tiles were cracked and dirty, some wall sections were cracked. There was a TV, but the weak Wi‑Fi made it unusable. We requested twin beds but received a double bed instead. There was no phone in the room, so contacting reception was difficult; we had to go down to request an iron, but none was available. Only one towel was provided; after telling the receptionist we needed an extra one, she said it would be sent to the room, but after a while we had to retrieve it ourselves downstairs (the receptionist said they were waiting for us to pick it up).

The hotel was conveniently close to the convention center, which was exactly what we needed, but I can’t say much about the area around it. The whole place felt very, very, extremely tired and battered, and it didn’t look as clean as the photos showed. Maybe it was nicer about five years ago, but since it was cheap I didn’t expect pristine cleanliness. The toilet was absolutely gross and I had to build a PT seat just to use it.

The shower didn’t work the first time until we called the receptionist. The AC was also broken because it wasn’t working at night. The bed was okay, but there was still some dirt on the sheet.
