We were there for the first time and the service was great. The staff were very friendly and the location was quiet – exactly what we needed to unwind. The beach is easy to reach, the pool is fantastic, and it’s beautifully lit in the evenings. The food is excellent, and the bar hosts a pianist twice a week with subtle music. Parking is cheap. The lounge area isn’t very usable for people with back problems.

The breakfast spread was excellent, with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. Even in the evenings the buffet was mostly good and the variety was satisfying, though vegetarian protein options were missing. The Superior room is spacious, with a sea‑side view and the sound of waves if you tilt the window at night. The staff were mostly friendly, courteous, and helpful. The water in the indoor pool was at least 2 °C too cold; even after a cold shower it was still too chilly. Swimming was just barely tolerable, but turning on the whirlpool or the counter‑current system made it even colder, as other guests noted.

We travelled with our dog and were given a ground‑floor room that opens onto the garden. The room included bowls for food and water. Unfortunately, the drains in the bathroom all smelled bad, and rinsing with water didn’t help.
