Appleby House & Rabbit Island Huts

The cabins are set in a beautiful setting, and we booked one with a private bath and felt very comfortable. We didn’t get to use all the amenities, like the grill or the farm, because we were short on time, but we would have loved to. A very lovely and pleasant place.

It’s incredibly peaceful and gorgeous. The only drawback is that the curtains only cover the front door.

Everything worked well, but the heater in the room made a lot of noise; it was cold, and we couldn’t leave it on because it disturbed sleep.

“Gorgeous boutique accomodation in serene setting.”

The little guys were adorable, though a bit cramped for our dogs; we could have used the deck chairs to block the stairs and let the dogs roam on the deck a bit more. The accommodation is super cute with nice features like the communal fire pit and sauna, which I only discovered once we arrived, so I didn’t use it. I never received the welcome email that mentioned checking in or other instructions, and I didn’t realize we had to walk to the huts, which was a bit tricky. I also didn’t know where the milk was, but I found it in the communal area with basic condiments such as bread, jams, and butter. The milk was fresh full‑cream, which was delicious.

“So serene! Will definitely return and stay longer next time.”

The landscape of the property is stunning, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully arranged. The rooms are simple yet elegant, with nice touches and incredibly comfortable beds. The facilities are fantastic; I love the sauna and the showers. The name lived up to expectations, and we saw plenty of rabbits grazing in the grassy fields just outside the cabin.
