I liked the location and the staff’s hospitality. Nothing much else. I write this review after staying one night at Niraamaya and two nights at another nearby resort (similar price range). Niraamaya disappointed, while the other resort was much better and felt better value for money – paid 16‑17k for one night for a superior lake‑view room, not worth the price at all. The view was blocked by curtains – a stupid design for a premium room category. Bathroom fixtures were subpar. Electricity tripped multiple times (5 times within an hour at one point), which reset the Wi‑Fi and even the water pump because the water would pause for a minute in the taps. At 8 am a guy was running a loud leaf blower in the garden area, extremely noisy and woke us up. Restaurant food orders took 30‑35 min on average to arrive, even a simple masala omelette took 25 min. The quality and taste of food were pretty average and these dishes were not cheap. Good location and very kind, hospitable people, but overall the upkeep and facilities of the resort did not match the cost.

The place was very basic, far from what the name suggests. The fruit selection was terrible, only two options each day, no fresh juice, and the local specialties lacked variety.
