“Good and Bad”

Samantha checked me in at the requested time, was very kind and answered all my questions. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, the fridge larger than expected, and the kitchenette had plenty of storage. Many nearby restaurants were closed because of the hurricane, but I recommend AJ’S Seafood next door, which was open and had excellent shrimp and fish. The floor was extremely dirty, and I only noticed after walking barefoot for about an hour. The motel advertises itself as non‑smoking, yet a gentleman in the room above me smoked cigars and the smell drifted into my room all evening. I didn’t complain to management because I knew they were fully booked due to Hurricane Isaiah and had nowhere else to stay. This was the only available option, and it was safe, had electricity, and a kitchenette, so I didn’t feel the need to complain.

I stayed during a hurricane, so the bed, bath, and power were all gone, and they offered nothing in return.
