Rosy guest house.

Rosy, the hostess, was very friendly and helpful, using a translation app when needed. The room was simple and comfortable enough for one night but needed airing. Breakfast was very good.

The lady running the property was lovely and took good care of us. However, we had to pay for AC, which I think should have been included in the booking, and our sleep was pretty rough without it.

“Levede ikke op til forventningerne”

I met a friendly, chatty family who made me feel welcome and served a nice breakfast. The place sits in a great spot relative to the city, beach, spa, and the local eatery Dhanas curry pot. Unfortunately I found a pretty dirty sheet with a large stain, plus grime on both the floor and the bathroom shelf. I asked for a sheet change and showed the owner the spots, but she only fixed the bed. The room is the only one rented and sits right above their home, so I could hear household noises and very distinct sounds from outside animals like cicadas and birds. It was also very hot, cramped, and windowless, feeling stuffy and especially damp. They would charge 8000 rupees per day (!!) to borrow the air‑conditioning remote, which would make the daily rate very high compared to the quality offered in the area. The place is definitely not worth it, and this is something I haven't experienced elsewhere. I left a day early because it felt too enclosed and humid, and I couldn't sleep there another night.

Everything was great: a clean room, responsive hosts, and hearty, tasty breakfasts! They also pointed me to where to eat well and cheaply at the café.
