I booked a huge sea‑front apartment in the village of Namwon, owned by a very friendly elderly couple who don’t speak any English; it’s a 5‑minute walk from the CU supermarket and the Wonjjukkumi restaurant (4.6 on KakaoMap), which specializes in Jjukkumi (BBQ small octopus in spicy sauce, with optional pork and shrimp) – I definitely recommend it! There was nothing negative; it was a pleasant surprise and very inexpensive.

The room isn’t brand‑new, but it’s very clean. The staff, though not fluent in English, were helpful and friendly in any way they could. I loved the front garden overlooking the coastal view and will definitely return.
