“Great value for money, great location, no luxury - perfect for younger travelers on a budget”
This place is more a hostel than a hotel. With that in mind, it’s great and I’d stay again. There’s no staff – you check yourself in and out and keep the room tidy. A door PIN is sent beforehand. The décor is aimed at a younger crowd (exposed brick walls). A small kitchen area is available, and there are two washing machines. My room had a small desk and a fridge. The bathroom was roomy and doubled as a shower. Water temperature and pressure were good, though the drain took a while but eventually worked. The room was reasonably clean. The AC worked perfectly and felt new. The bed was comfortable and large, with a nice blanket and two pillows. A clothes hanger lets you hang a jacket, shirt, or a few laundry items. Free Wi‑Fi worked well. The location is super convenient, with plenty of food, nightlife right outside, a convenience store within a minute’s walk, and multiple train and bus stops nearby. You can even walk to Seoul Station in 15–20 minutes. Overall, I’d recommend it to anyone who values cheap stays in a great location over luxury. It’s perfect for younger travelers who only need a shower and a place to sleep.
A few flies were stuck to the walls – odd that they didn’t clean them off. There’s a blue light bug zapper at the entrance; every time a bug flies in, it makes a loud, sudden noise that woke me up the first two nights, even though my room was on the second floor. I eventually got used to it. The mattress was clearly old; despite a protector, I felt every spring and saw some stains. A new mattress would help. The curtain blocks almost no light, so if you want to sleep late, bring an eye mask because the room will be bright when the sun comes up. There’s very little space to dry clothes after washing, so only wash a few items at a time. The fridge was initially unplugged, so the items I put in the first night were warm the next morning. The towels had a strong mildewy smell after one use, suggesting they’re not washed or dried properly. If that bothers you, bring your own or wash them yourself. One night, guests from another room came home late and drunk, staying loud until about 5 am; because the walls are thin, it felt like they were in my room – I wasn’t bothered, but be aware. Bring ear plugs just in case.
