“Relaxen am wilden einsamen Strand”

Quiet, almost empty beach – the first day only two people, the second day nobody at all. The sand is a bit steep, but you can walk all the way to the Rio Palomino mouth where there’s a restaurant and a great view of the Sierra. The bed is huge, there’s plenty of storage, a water dispenser, and the property has loungers and solar lighting at night. The owner can cook dinner if you ask.

Front of the sea, no frills. The only problem was that the whole Palomino area had power cuts, so we had no electricity or running water.

Close to the sea, private, 15 minutes from the Rio Palomino. The only hiccup was that the power went out several times during our stay.

“If we’d booked a camping trip, we’d have been fine!”

The location was great – waking up to the sound of the waves, a comfy bed, and a decent mosquito net. Paola was friendly. But we ran into a lot of problems: the hosts weren’t there when we arrived, the jacuzzi was filthy and never cleaned, and our lunch took two hours to arrive – it was just dry fish. The ceiling fan was missing, replaced by a floor fan that didn’t reach the bed, so we slept sweaty.

“Träumhäuschen am Meer”

Dreamy little house right on the beach, total privacy. We felt at home instantly. The huge bed was a treat, and falling asleep to the sea was perfect. Breakfast was great, and the house beach was wonderful for swimming. It’s about a 30‑minute walk or a 5‑10‑minute ride by motorcycle or tuk‑tuk from the Palomino center, so you get a quiet idyll. We rented a motorcycle and got a local SIM card – that was handy since the WiFi didn’t work. All in all, everything was perfect.
