“Sehr zentral gelegene Unterkunft und deshalb emfehlenswert.”
The storage at the accommodation was absolutely great – right in the heart of San Gimignano’s old town. Unfortunately, the furnishings were very sparse. There was no bottled water in the room, and the fridge in the hallway was accessible to everyone but wasn’t even turned on when we arrived (bummer, especially with 30°C outside). Still, the price was relatively low, so a few compromises were acceptable. Because of the central location, the place could charge a few more euros, but then offer a kitchen with cold water, for instance. Overall, the accommodation is highly recommendable and the value matched our expectations. Parking at the nearest lot (“Parcheggio 2 Montemaggio”, 300 m away) was heavily occupied; the best chances were early morning or early evening.

A cozy, quiet apartment in the old town’s heart, housed in an old building on a pedestrian street. Everything was crafted with care and love. The balcony gives a fantastic view of the towers and the old town. The bed was very comfortable, with quality linens. The house was beautifully decorated with antique touches. The only additions I’d suggest are a shelf above the sink in the bathroom for toothbrushes and toiletries, a few hangers, an extra outlet in the room for phone charging and a kettle, and a small tea table.

The room was very nice, located on the main pedestrian street that runs through the town. It opened onto the back, and on the balcony there was a small table with two chairs, perfect for morning or evening coffee. In a sort of lounge area, there was a large fridge that we could use. The room was less than 100 m from the city gate, where you can drive a car to drop off luggage. Nearby parking spots are paid, but anyone who can walk 5–10 min finds free parking a bit farther away. The key handover by the owner was smooth. The bathroom could use a minor refurbishment, but otherwise everything was fine.
