We soaked up the architecture and had the chance to tour every building on the architecture walk. The bath house was a fantastic experience, all the food was tasty, and the staff were lively and helpful.

“Unfortunate stay”

We were really looking forward to this stay because the hotel’s architecture is truly unique and worth experiencing. Unfortunately, the overall experience was sour. The entry points are unclear, and staff simply pointed us toward our room without explaining that access borders private land. This led to a shocking incident where we were aggressively harassed by a neighbor. While the hotel eventually de‑escalated the situation and apologized, the lack of initial guidance ruined our stay. Feeling uncomfortable, we left early the next morning.

The hotel was absolutely spectacular. The architecture and calmness were very nice. The hotel struck a very nice balance between history and modernity. The staff was exceptionally friendly and we felt very welcomed. The rooms were impeccable, clean and spacious with a very nice layout. The breakfast and dinner were also very good. We also booked a bath in the hotel owned Hinoki bath, did the architecture tour and also the Japanese roasted tea experience. All three experiences were very well organized and presented. The only downside was that we only stayed for two nights

“Not cost effective”

Nice vibes and designs. Beautiful sound of windbell. Small rooms. Staffs are many but don’t feel much warmness

“Didn’t meet expectations”

Architecturally very cool. Love the shared spaces. They didn’t have all the extras that make a hotel in Japan five star. Stayed in better four stars
