The cottage was lovely.

It sat in a quiet setting with pleasant surroundings, and the three bedrooms were all en suite. However, water from the showers in two rooms drained slowly and a slug was found in one; guests might want to bring an anti‑slip mat. The light over the basin in the rear right room was out, and more hooks for damp towels would help. The kitchen was too small for six adults, the toaster had to be lifted onto another surface to plug in, and the blender was broken. The info booklet claimed the heating was untimed and the owner would turn it on if asked, but when we returned at 6.30 one evening after a very wet day we were told the heating was timed and would start in another hour.

“A superb hilly retreat”

We enjoyed three lovely nights here; the accommodation was perfect with a walk‑in shower, window seats overlooking the mountains, plenty of seating to dine in the garden, and a quiet spot for a self‑serve breakfast.

“Loved it. Would love to go again.”

Breakfast was good and the flexible timing worked well for us; the patio and nice weather were exceptional, letting us relax with a view and not want to leave. All good.
