Agriturismo Marcofrate, a Retreat in the Nature

We loved everything: the kindness and availability of Marianna and Cristina, the beautiful stone rooms, the healthy breakfast they prepare each morning, the strategic location for visiting towns, and the peace. It’s an amazing place, and we’re already planning our next visit. Nothing to mention; even if something had been missing, the positives would still outweigh it.

Marianna is extremely kind and ready to explain everything about the places to visit. The breakfast is highly appreciated—every day it’s different, fresh, and suitable even for someone like me who is gluten‑free. The room is small but functional. You can truly disconnect because you’re surrounded by nature with little internet connection. Nothing to add.

“l'Umbria da sogno”

The building is gorgeous, almost like a fairy‑tale forest setting, and Mary and her assistant were outstanding. Everything was perfect.

“Relax puro”

The property is meticulously maintained, probably the cleanest place I've ever stayed, and the owner is truly welcoming, even going out of her way after hours. The limited number of rooms creates a very relaxing vibe. I liked that there’s no TV in the room so you can focus on the surrounding nature sounds. The beds are super comfy, and sleeping to the chirping of crickets, cicadas, and owls is magical. It was a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, we couldn’t use the pool much because of the many gnats, but being surrounded by greenery, it didn’t feel like a big issue. Breakfast is great, featuring local products or homemade by the owner, though the variety could be better.
