The staff were very friendly and the location was great, with a well‑maintained park. Yet the hotel clearly has huge potential; the setting could be delightful, and it hints at what it once was. Unfortunately, the lack of upkeep is hard to ignore and really spoils the experience. I booked a “superior” room with lake, mountain, and garden views, but in reality one window faced the opposite villa and the other faced a wall. When I raised the discrepancy, I was told the view was visible from the terrace if you leaned out, which is a very odd definition of “view” that doesn’t match the reservation’s expectations. A room change was offered, but no commercial gesture was made. Consumption charges were accurate but pricey. The advertised gym was unusable due to its condition, forcing me to find another place to work out during my stay. It’s especially disappointing because the hotel could really deliver a great experience with better maintenance, consistency between communication and reality, and more attentive welcome. With a few fixes, the place could live up to its promises.
