The kitchen is small but handy for making breakfast, though it takes a while to walk into the city.

Nice views, friendly staff, and a small kitchen for mornings, but as mentioned it’s quite a distance outside town—15 minutes on foot to get into town.

Maria was super kind and attentive, and her husband was extremely funny; when we got sick she even made us ginger tea. The room was clean, comfortable, and had an ocean view in a safe neighbourhood. The breakfast was delicious, offering either continental or Ecuadorian options like bolón and patacones. We’d definitely stay here again if we visit Puerto López.

Maria is a very friendly and helpful host; the room is nice and clean, the bed is very comfortable, and the breakfast is tasty. The hostel sits in a quieter residential area with a great sea view, and you’re only 15 minutes from the beach.
