I stayed from 2012, and the place needs renovation—it's getting old.

The manager handled my questions right away when I arrived, and the breakfasts were surprisingly good and beautifully presented; the waiters were excellent and cooked meals on request. I also appreciated the manager, Aftab, at check‑out. However, there was no toothbrush or toothpaste even though they claim to supply all toiletries, and the mattress was hard and the bed shape uncomfortable.

I spent one night at Hotel Royal Highness and found it a pleasant, comfortable stay for a short visit. The hotel’s location near Tinsukia Railway Station, with shops and auto‑rickshaws nearby and the bus stand about 800 m away, made local travel easy. The large, clean, and well‑maintained premises gave a calm first impression, and the room was tidy with fresh sheets, clean towels, and basic toiletries; the big windows offered natural light and a nice city view, and the room was well lit and quiet. The bathroom worked but could be cleaner. The half‑board system capped food at ₹650 per person, a detail that should be clearer to guests, yet the meals were tasty and satisfying. Staff were responsive, polite, and well‑mannered, and service ran smoothly. A daily newspaper and a TV with working channels were provided. Overall, Hotel Royal Highness was a solid choice for a short stay, delivering comfort, convenience, and value in a central spot. The only downside was the bathroom’s cleanliness.

The location is good relative to Mandir, and the staff are cordial. The bathroom exhaust fan was broken, the electrical switch panel was just hanging, there were too few charging points, and breakfast didn’t meet expectations.
