The views were wonderful, the space was large and bright, and the location was good. There were no doors in all the rooms, and only one floor had bathrooms, so you had to go up and down many stairs. The equipment maintenance was poor.

We couldn’t get into the house. After grabbing the keys and garage remote from the lockbox, we tried to open the automatic garage door with the only control available. The motor ran but the door stayed closed. We called the contact number several times, but no one answered from the GuestReady property management agency at 19:00. We then tried Booking, but they couldn’t reach anyone either. After struggling with Booking for a couple of hours, we booked another house on the island that was still available and managed by a different agency that answered the phone at 22:30 to help us check in. GuestReady’s behaviour is unacceptable and should be penalised; customers deserve compensation.

The house overall was big, bright, and cozy. The door between the ground‑floor bedroom and the hallway was an issue. The dryer didn’t work properly. The oven and stove were mediocre. The fridge was very moldy. The bedroom air‑conditioner on the ground floor dripped a lot. Kitchen equipment was average. The toilets had an unpleasant smell.

The location is absolutely beautiful – tranquil, calm, with fantastic views! The house was spotless and decorated perfectly. The balconies were beyond perfect, making it so easy to live there. The beds were really comfortable, although the bunk bed was high to get in and out of. We loved the Venda do Socio bar… an easy stop in a car, or a pleasant uphill walk, to feel you deserve your drink! The food looked great, too! The location was hard to find for taxi companies; maybe include a What3Words address to help? Route finders often took us down the wrong access road. There were no functioning bars, restaurants, or shops nearby, as suggested. It should be clearer that the first‑floor bedrooms are best for families. Without doors, accommodating six people while maintaining privacy could be difficult. Practically, the sink in the larger bathroom wouldn’t drain; the mechanism was broken. The smaller bathroom sink was the opposite and couldn’t hold water. Having a washing‑up sponge and products would have been welcome. Only small things to note, as it is a fabulous property!

A tidy place, clean, looks good at first glance, but there were a few annoying issues that popped up after a day of staying. The exhaust hood didn’t work, so the whole house kept smelling like food, and the oven in the kitchen was also non‑functional. That was a problem because we were a family of five and I wanted to use the oven more, yet the pans that were provided were too small to cook for everyone. There were also several minor things that I normally wouldn’t complain about, but for the price you pay, those should be fine. Many lights didn’t work, the bathroom floor was broken, there was little dishware, and the pans were too small. After a day I contacted them about the oven and exhaust hood, because we were still staying for another five days and I thought it would be good to fix it. I got an immediate reply that they would forward it to the local team, but during my stay I heard nothing more and nothing was arranged or fixed. I emailed again during my stay, no response. When I got home I reached out again and they said they would first check how we left the place after checkout, then get back to me. We’re now more than two weeks later, I think I’ve reached out six times from the beginning and nothing has been done or arranged. Our stay was fine, but for the money you spend, there were too many things that were wrong, untidy, or poorly managed. I gave them several chances to fix this (even before writing this review), but unfortunately nothing has been done… sad.
